This is an idea for a new kind of contract. You have to fight on gas giant platforms. They are kept afloat by engines similar to drop ship engines but bigger. You start in an mcc that has the ability to deploy drop ships. Could be something cool like getting dropped out the bottom or shot out of a magnetic rail gun, or they could just put a flat top on it where you can call in drop ships via RDV. You use these drop ships to get to the various platforms, each of which is independent of the rest. Each also has a null cannon, so it would be like skirmish a bit. The individual null cannon platforms have 2 or 3 floors with the only entrance at the top. Perhaps objectives will move to create a constantly changing battlefield, or even be piloted by mercs or the mcc commander. They have a number of different layouts, and you don't know what it will be until you go inside. There may be jetpacks added so individuals can get from one place to another, but that will take up your equipment slot, and take a second to switch out, similar to a cloak. There is a fight for each individual null cannon platform, and the drop ships opening a new front if they can spare the mercs, making it multi- layered strategy. One attack with a bunch of people, or a bunch of smaller attacks? In summary, skirmish on a gas giant with a bunch of floating objectives, each of which can have a battle going on in it, with special mccs that can deploy drop ships somehow. This is my idea, any criticism, complements, or feedback would be appreciated.

I see your point, thanks for the feedback. Anti armor would definitely be useful to prevent the enemy from getting a toehold on your turf, but a determined drop ship could probably rush it and dump a team, or jetpacks. The toehold on a new objective is supposed to be difficult if the defense has a clue what he is doing, the whole strategic thing, like fronts of a war. I do agree that some other mode of transport to get the initial team there (after which uplinks will do the job) would be a good idea. Maybe a "merc cannon" could do the trick, or perhaps temporary bridges when platform get close. If you or anyone else has an idea of transport, I'm all ears, and hopefully the devs are too.
